Hi, I’m Elona! I am a cancer survivor with a simple goal: to inspire others to live fully and give back to their communities in meaningful ways. When I was 10, I was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, spending nearly two years in and out of hospitals. That experience shaped my life’s mission – to use my journey to help others in meaningful, lasting ways. I’ve seen firsthand how even a single act of kindness can ignite hope, especially for children and families facing overwhelming challenges. I was once one of those children. That’s why I founded the Karafin Foundation – to bring care, support, and joy to those who need it most.
The Karafin Foundation is dedicated to supporting underserved communities and children facing extraordinary challenges. Whether we’re building schools and libraries in regions like Afghanistan that need them most or providing direct support to families with children battling cancer, we believe in creating meaningful, lasting change through compassionate action. From spreading joy through our annual toy drives to organizing fundraisers for families in crisis, our mission is simple: to give every child the opportunity to dream, grow, and thrive.
