We partnered with The Local Literacy Project, to fund a school curriculum and a library in Afghanistan, providing crucial education to children in a region where access has been severely restricted. Despite the risks, dedicated volunteers continue to teach, supported by donations that cover essential supplies, food, books, and teacher’s salaries. This project ensures students can learn in a safe environment, creating a brighter future despite the challenges. Donors to this project receive special confidential updates to ensure the safety and privacy of our staff and students.

Since the launch of this fundraiser
we’ve seen unfortunate developments in Afghanistan, particularly in the way the Taliban has handled and further restricted the educational system. These developments initially shook the program, but brave and dedicated volunteers are standing firm in their commitment to providing education, even if it means risking their lives.
During our time in Afghanistan,
Elona and Jérôme had the privilege of meeting with the local individuals who have worked tirelessly to assemble this curriculum. Their passion and commitment to teaching resonated with us, and we knew right away that we wanted to support this endeavor for as long as possible.
